Forget-me-nuts

It happened again. I forgot some valuables in the taxi we were in. And worse, I realized that they were at the backseat after Mamang Driver whizzed with his old taxi-slash-mobile-sauna-bath.

I could really publish a series of stories about these unfortunate events.
It's driving me nuts.
Or is it just another sign that I should work on my draft already?

Doubts I

I stutter.
I commits a lot of grammar lapses.
I run out of _______.
I tend to repeat what I just said.
I tend to repeat what I just said.
Ahmmm...
My sentences never ahmmm run out of ahmmm fillers.
I still haven't mastered the appropriate use to all prepositions.

So tell me, should I keep on chasing English?

Sidewalks End

I.when you are emotionally high,
either in bliss or in utter melancholia,
your tear ducts are your best friend.

II.they were there when the VST & Co. serenaded you with
"Ang isang pag-ibig ay parang lansangan
na pandalawahan"

III.they never left you when Adele comforted you with
"Should I give up or should I keep on chasing pavements?"

IV.then the Shel Silversten in you answered Adele with
"Where the Sidewalks end"

FADE OUT: then.you.tried.to.cry.

Chasing Pavemaths

Should I give up?
Or should I keep on chasing pavemaths?

(Thank you Adele for that very beautiful song,
of course, minus the math part)

For the record,I am not a Math major.
I was trained to be a Reading and Language teacher.
Back in college, I took only two Math subjects
(Math 1 and 2) for my general education subjects
and a "handful" of English subjects.

But that did not made me lose my heart
for Math,
okay, grade school Math.

So when our Math point-person asked for teachers
who'd coach MTAP contestants, I volunteered.
I volunteered to train Grades 3 and 4 pupils,of course.
I so love grade school Math.

After weeks of training, and straining my vocal
and brain chords (if ever the latter exist),
my pupils' scores did not make it to the cut.

Now, I'm starting to doubt my Math powers.
Is it I?Is it they?
Should I give up? Or keep on chasing the direct object?

Should I jump ship now?

Lipat Blog-hay

Maglilipat blog na ako.

At first, I thought of abandoning this blog totally. Disown it. Then I realized that it's so inhumane of me as the owner. Blog euthanasia is definitely not the best decision I could make if what I just want to do is to start a new blog.

Why is there a need to give birth to a new blog?

I'm a self-confessed techie-wanna-be. Trying hard would be the layman's term for it. Euphemism, thank you. Because of this OA curiosity, I couldn't post photos to my entries. It's a known issue according to google. Fudge! What is that?

Since I have no one to explain to me this technical side of blogging, I have reached the end of my rope. Sorry jersonal.blogspot, I have to transfer your entries.

Don't worry, I am not dumping them into cyberspace's trash bin. Three years of blogging and almost a hundred posts is no joke for a tyro writer.

Please be informed that I am taking blogging on a more serious note this year.

Thanks to fellow bloggers and cyberfriends who visited this blog. Nothing beats the feeling when I see a comment that needs moderation in my dashboard.

To the blogs I follow, can I "re-follow" you soon?

To Blogger, thank you for letting me live my dreams. I will 'relive' them soon.

To the Editor-in-Chief up above, I know that there are lots of posts needing revisions but you still published them. Indeed, there's no condemnation in you. Only forgiveness.

To myself, See? You did it! Do it again.

Mag Show Suggestions

Yey! 2011 is here.

Pero anyway, pwede pa rin naman akong maging part ng show by sending stories or possible topics to them, ayon sa show mismo.

Hmmm, anong topic kaya ang di pa nila nai-feature? Na magugustuhan ng marami at the same time, makakarelate sila. Ladies and gentlemen, presenting Jerson’s random thoughts:

One

May mga duets pa siya with other artists like former AI finalist Ramiele Malubay.

For sure, sisikat ‘tong mga to. Sana, hindi lang sa youtube.

Two

Gawa rin sila ng episode about Dyslexia. Feeling ko kasi, maraming tao na hindi pa naiinform or misinform about this learning disability.

Three

Most parents want their kids to read on their own, kaya sana magka-idea sila about the children’s book industry para hindi lang coloring books at gasgas na mga fairybtales ang bininili nila sa bookstore.

Four

Related sa no.3. Like itong Booksale Booksale.

Usually mga Born Again churches ‘to.

Like sa UP Diliman, sobrang daming religious orgs.

Six

Last na muna ‘to.

For sure, marami pang oddjobs ang di pa naifi-feature.

That’s it.

Yey. Nakapagsulat din. Sana makatulong ang mga ideas na ‘to. Pag may naisip ako, post ko rin dahil ang motto ko for this year:

Walang ideyang masasayang.
