Today, I organized a job fair in class. I asked my fourth grade students to choose a job among the following:
mail box inspector
line leader
supplies security guard
calendar changer
absentee assistant
teacher's task force
director of the board
Under each position is the description (nature of work) of the job. It's fun seeing my students picking jobs which they like (although the jobs are limited). Then I asked them to write an application letter addressed to me. I provided a template for them. I told them to write reasons why I should hire them. I'll post some of their works soon. Tomorrow, I'll announce the result of their application.
I hope to instill in them, the love for work.
I hope they won't get exhausted while performing their task.
And it's also my prayer.
