Green Christmas

My Christmas goes green this year.

With all the tragic scenarios brought about by natural disasters this year, I have felt the need to do more in reducing the effects of climate change and saving Mother Earth.

Just doing the simple things that we ought to do as passengers of the Spaceship Earth.

One of the these simple things is using less paper. I try to consume all the space there is on every page. Always use the back page of used coupon bond.

Use the dailies (usually Philippine Daily Inquirer's Sunday issue) to wrap gift items you're giving away. Use abaca yarn and/or other indigenous materials. Forget about what the recipients would say. Make a rebuttal when you hear someone raises a you-are-stingy issue. Prepare a friendly lecture on why you went green and proclaim the message of saving Mother Earth. Tell them that even Jesus Christ went green when He was born on this earth.

Blessed green Christmas to everyone!
